If you have a question about my art, PLEASE, read this first, and make sure I haven't already answered it.
THEN, and ONLY THEN, you can ask me that question.

So, let's get started:

Q. What tablet do you use?
A. I don't use a tablet. I don't even do digital art. Or well, I started to...try. Most of the times its just some lazy attempt using my phone. Not everyone can afford a tablet, you know? I also don't think I'll be getting one anytime soon.

Q. What pencils/pens/other traditional materials do you use?
A.
My outlining pens are:
NEOPIKO-Line-3 (www.amazon.com/Deleter-Neopiko…)
My markers are:
Copic Ciao (www.amazon.com/Copic-Premium-A…)
I also use Copic Opaque White (www.amazon.com/Copic-Marker-Op…) to cover mistakes and add highlights.
I also occasionally use white acrylic paint (cause it dries really fast)
and also white Posca (www.amazon.com/Posca-Extra-Mar…)

My coloring pencils are:

Normal:
UNI Mitsubishi (www.amazon.com/Mitsubishi-Penc…
Watercolor:
UNI Mitsubishi Watercolor (www.amazon.com/Mitsubishi-Penc…)

My comic eraser is:
SEED Comikeshi (I was really impressed by this one)

Q. Do you take requests?
A. Okay. So I know this makes me sound like a selfish prick, but 99% of the time I get requests, people ask me to draw things that I just don't want to draw. So before I seem like I'm picking favorites, unless I personally know you, or announce that requests are open for a certain amount of time or a certain number of people, I will NOT be doing requests.
I'm sorry. But I get asked to draw some really weird sh*t so much, I just don't want to risk it.

Q. Do you do commissions?
A. If you read my response above and you still want me to draw something, you can um...for lack of a better term, bribe me.  However, because people still ask me to draw some really weird sh*t, I may, depending on what you ask, decline your commission. In that case, ALL of your points will be refunded. But that takes away some of my points, so please, think before requesting. Send me a note before ordering your commission, and ask if your request is okay.

Q. Can I repost your art?
A. Depends. You can mention my art anywhere WITHIN Deviant art all you want. You may NOT, however, download and post my art as a new submission, REGARDLESS ON WEATHER OR NOT YOU CREDIT ME. If you repost my art onto a different site, PLEASE, CREDIT ME. And if possible, link it to me.
If you ever see someone re-posting my art and not crediting me or even claiming it as their own, PLEASE, let me know. I used to think that my art wasn't good enough to be within the range of art-thieves, but apparently, no one is safe from their clutches.

Q. Why are you so conceited?
A. By that, most people mean: "Why don't you criticize your own art?"
My answer is: Because it's pointless.
So many artists out there constantly degrade and overly criticize their own art to the point that it's becoming what people assume is the norm. If you're an artist and you don't think your art is garbage, you're an egotistical prick who thinks that they're better than everyone else.

But here's the thing. I don't think my art is garbage. In fact, for someone who's never taken any formal art classes, I dare say it looks pretty good.
I am extremely satisfied with my progress and I don't feel the need to constantly think what I do is garbage.
(I get enough of degrading comments from online and people around me, thank you very much.)

Q. Why do you get so defensive when people give you criticism?
A. I don't.
Here's the thing. The way I see it, what people usually call "criticism" can be divided up into two very distinct categories:
Constructive Criticism, and Needless Criticism.
I highly appreciate the first kind and I take it very seriously as I am always looking for ways that I can improve.
Here is a real example of some Constructive Criticism I've gotten in the past:

"From the last art you posted when I commented on this new post (a speed paint, actually), I can see quite some improvement!
I like the background, it looks reminiscing to marker color techniques and I like how you colored Hau.
You still need improvement on the head though, if he is looking upwards, the edge of the chin and the skin connecting the head to the neck should be seen.
Your hands are decent for the most part, no need to hide the other one.
I look forward to your next artwork! "

And then there's the second kind. Needless Criticism. Most people who leave those types of comments are thinking that they are doing me a favor or that they're leaving me "constructive criticism" while they're actually being quite rude and insensitive.
I won't be posting any real examples to spare people from hate and to discourage this type of behavior, but to summarize they're things like:

"Your proportions look retarded. You should try taking some anatomy classes. That's what I did, and now my art looks straight out of Attack on Titan or something"

"His eye is way too big. Where's the other eye supposed to go with something that big taking up half of his face? You really need to plan things out before you draw them"

And the worst kind to me is:

"You art almost looks like (insert name)'s. You should do (insert), and you'll look just like them!"

If you notice, all of these do give me suggestions on how to improve, but you can also notice that the people are extremely rude when saying these things.
I'm not saying I want to control people's opinions or anything, but if they're allowed to have freedom of speech, so am I. And I DO NOT appreciate this type of criticism.
